| Tune Schwarzbrenner: - Full Carbon Tubular and Clincher Wheels - revolutionary braking surface. German component experts Tune have often taken other manufacturers rims and laced them on the their own industry leading hubs to produce Tune wheels. Having worked with so many different rims Tune felt that they could improve on a number of slight issues that are common with carbon rims. Tune wanted an all carbon rim for both tubular and clincher tyres that would be light, stiff, strong and have a braking performance to match all aluminium rims. The Tune Schwarzbrenner rims are manufacturered by Austrian company Xentis after heavy design and technical input from Tune themselves. Schwarzbrenner rims are full carbon on both tubular and clincher models and feature a patented braking surface. This braking surface prevents overheating from prolonged braking, behaves like an all aluminium rim when under braking even in wet conditions and still allows for high pressures to be run in clincher tyres. Proof of the superior braking performance is provided buy the recommended use of standard brake blocks - there is no heat build up on these rims due to aluminium fibres that are woven into the carbon lay up of the braking surfaces. All of this when combined with low weight, lateral stiffness, striking aesthetics, Tune hubs and clever features such as integrated computer magnets leads to superb performing wheelsets for any dedicated road cyclist. |

Schwarzbrenner Options: Schwarzbrenner wheelsets are available in 25mm, 42mm and 58mm deep rim profiles with both tubular and clincher models available in all depths. Front and rear wheels can be sold separately so you can mix and match rim depth front and rear to suit your riding style and the terrain that you ride over. Finishing options such as hub colour can also be chosen as well as a choice of silver or black spokes.
